A urban fresco, a cultural and inspiring project
Cultural dimension is particularly important to us, as culture is a powerful driver of social connection. We love to encourage all forms of dynamic energy in our projects. For the Station project, the owner, passionate about art, wanted to dress the gable of her building with a mural and explored various options to bring this idea to life. Supported by Nest Architects, she sought both artistic and financial solutions, reaching out to patrons and project sponsors. Fate played a part: the local council informed her that Visit Brussels was looking for a project for a youth initiative, in partnership with the ASBL Farmprod, who had won the bid.
Farmprod is an ASBL based in Forest, specializing in supporting cultural projects, particularly urban art and social initiatives. Enthusiastic, the owner agreed to make her gable available. Meeting with the artists was an enriching experience, and watching this blank wall transform into a vibrant work of art brought new energy to the space, enriching its surroundings and giving the facade a unique identity. This project is now a beautiful example of collaboration between art, culture, and architecture, and a testament to how a simple wall can become a true place of meeting and reflection.
