Valorization of reclaimed urban materials for a sustainable space

Creative minerality

URBANITY • VEGETAL

Minerality becomes a key player in reshaping and energizing urban spaces. The de-densification of urban sites offers a unique opportunity to integrate reclaimed materials from existing buildings, creating innovative solutions.
For example, in the Courouble and Printemps projects, we transformed core samples from concrete slabs into tables, giving these materials a new life. This approach allows us to maintain a local and sustainable footprint while reintegrating elements from the original structure, incorporating the concept of temporality.
Our approach and commitment to minerality is also reflected in our choice to collaborate with BC Materials within our projects, where we incorporate plasters made from Brussels soil. This decision supports both our eco-responsible approach and the local economy. Every reclaimed material becomes a unique resource, which we transform into distinctive elements, helping to reduce the ecological footprint of our projects. This reuse creates dynamic spaces that honor the past and the environment, actively contributing to a more creative and sustainable urban landscape.
