The Parenté project, led by Les Petits Riens, aims to provide accommodation for single-parent families in difficulty, with a capacity of 40 beds distributed across 16 units. The building, located in Anderlecht, also includes common areas and a garden to promote community and autonomy for the families.
The project offers housing units equipped with kitchenettes, bathrooms, and toilets, allowing families to maintain or regain autonomy. A communal space, including a shared kitchen, dining area, and living room, is located on the 5th floor to encourage interaction among residents. The garden, developed after the demolition of a slab, features a play area, a terrace, and a bike shelter.
The renovation was designed to minimize interventions on the structural framework, while optimizing the spaces, enhancing natural light, and ensuring the highest quality of life for the residents. An elevator serves all floors, and offices for social workers are located on the 2nd and 4th floors. Access is through a secure vestibule.
The center's team, consisting of health professionals and social workers, supports residents throughout their journey, creating an environment conducive to autonomy, solidarity, and community.
