BIO-BASED INSULATION AND MATERIAL REUSE FOR A CIRCULAR APPROACH
Buitex is a family-owned French company specializing in thermal and acoustic insulation with its Cotonwool range. Committed to eco-design, it focuses on recycling and transforming textile waste to reduce the depletion of natural resources.
In our effort to promote collaboration for a circular economy, Les Petits Riens connected us with Le Relais, a key player in textile recycling. However, a fire temporarily halted their production of “Métisse” insulation.
Buitex then emerged as an ideal alternative, sharing the same values and offering a bio-based and recycled insulation with high thermal performance.
Following this same circular approach, we also recovered and reused the existing rock wool insulation, integrating it into some of the new partitions in the project, thus reducing material waste.
