Renovation of a Single-Family Home in Schaerbeek

Located in an airy neighborhood overlooking the Josaphat Park in Schaerbeek, this early 20th-century single-family home underwent a renovation that combines respect for heritage with energy performance. Our approach aimed to preserve the architectural authenticity while integrating modern solutions to address contemporary environmental challenges.
Special attention was given to the preservation of iconic heritage elements, such as the stained glass windows, which were incorporated into thermally insulated double glazing, allowing us to maintain their aesthetic value while improving the home's energy efficiency.
We also restored high-quality materials, such as the natural stone flooring and the molded woodwork of the existing doors and stairs, carefully restoring these elements to their original splendor and ensuring their longevity.
The project also included the installation of a heat pump, optimizing the heating system and ensuring a high level of thermal comfort year-round. The renovation thus achieved a perfect balance between heritage conservation and the adoption of ecological technologies.
With this integrated approach, the home now enjoys a harmonious blend of historic charm and energy efficiency, while respecting the essence of the place.
